Environmentalist Ms. Olga Beliakova took part in the 29th United Nations Climate Change conference (COP29) in Baku
COP29, officially the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, took place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from November 11 to 22, 2024. The conference ended with Climate Finance Deal to Support Developing Countries affected by climate change. Industrial countries have pledged to provide at least $300 billion annually by 2035, through a wide variety of sources, including public finance as well as bilateral and multilateral deals.
Nigeria is among the countries most affected by climate change. The country has the sixth largest population in the world and its economy is the largest in Africa.
During her participation in COP29 Azerbaijan, Ms.Olga had the honor of meeting with the minister of environment of Federal Republic of Nigeria, HE Balarabe Abbas Lawal, to discuss the prospects for sustainable construction and more resilient infrastructure in Nigeria.
The dialogue opened doors for future collaboration on innovative, eco-friendly construction solutions tailored to Nigeria’s climate challenges.

2023 World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund Annual Meetings in Marrakech
Just a month after the devastating earthquake, a large-scale event took place in Marrakech from October 9 to 15. The annual meetings of The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund brought together international financial leaders, politicians, and experts to discuss and address crucial economic and financial matters, as well as to make decisions and exchange views on global economic stability.
The meetings highlighted the need for a "livable planet", and the recent earthquake served as a reminder of how fragile the world we live in truly is. Significant attention has been given to the issue of financing sustainability and climate change.
The Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund, Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, is a global expert in sustainable finance and climate change. He has been the United Nations Special Envoy on Financing the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda since February 2020. Among the many bilateral meetings, Ms. Olga Beliakova took the opportunity to meet with Dr. Mohieldin to discuss current challenges and solutions in sustainable finance.

Legislative initiatives by environmentalist and head of the Lordlyfield project, Miss Olga Beliakova, for the MENA region
In July 2023, the head of the Lordlyfield project and nature advocate Olga Beliakova proposed to the Dubai Municipality to approve new environmental standards for hotels in Dubai that will reduce the amount of plastic waste generated during every guest visit. Namely, prohibit hotels from providing single-use plastic toiletry bottles in guest rooms. Reducing single-use plastics is vital in the fight against the climate crisis - plastic is a primary source of carbon emissions and a financial anchor to the fossil fuel industry.
Environmentalist Miss Olga Beliakova has completed her postgraduate studies in law and has 18 years of public service experience, which helps her to develop other environmental legislative proposals for the MENA region and the BRICS countries.

On the 21th—23th May, 2023, Founder Lordlyfield LLP, Miss Olga Beliakova, attended The Qatar Economic Forum 2023, powered by Bloomberg in Doha, Qatar.
Country leaders, renowned economists, business executives and intellectual leaders from around the world engaged in discussions on global economic topics.
The Forum further underscored the need for collective efforts to combat climate change, adapt to its consequences and transition to a green and low-carbon economy.
During the forum, chairman of the conference “We d̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ care”, Miss Olga Beliakova, had the honor to personally invite Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, to participate in the next edition of the “We d̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ care” conference in December 2023, alongside COP28 in Dubai.

Continue to dive into sustainable finance
In April 2023, creator and head of the Lordlyfield project, Miss Olga Beliakova, completed Sustainable Finance Course by The Public and Third Sector Academy for Sustainable Finance at the University of Oxford.
Sustainable finance makes sustainability considerations part of financial decision-making and means more climate-neutral, energy- and resource-efficient, and circular projects.
The Public and Third Sector Academy for Sustainable Finance at the University of Oxford is a global center of learning and capacity building focused on enabling the public and third sectors to grasp the opportunities associated with sustainable finance.
The Introduction to Sustainable Finance Course provides an understanding of the main concepts, theories, and issues in making sustainable investment decisions. The course enables participants to explore developments in the field and identify and activate levers of change.

“We d̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ care” conference by Lordlyfield
was successfully held in Dubai
On December 5-6, 2022, the conference “We d̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ care” was held at the Palace Downtown Hotel, Dubai, under the patronage of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, UAE.
The conference was dedicated to innovations to reduce planet pollution through the transition to sustainable production and consumption, which also affects climate change.
Among the speakers of the event were H.E. Mariam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, UAE, Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, UN Climate Change High-Level Champion, Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund, Leslie Maasdorp, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at New Development Bank et al.
Miss Olga Beliakova chaired the conference as part of the Lordlyfield project. The next conference edition will take place in December 2023, alongside COP28 in Dubai.

attended COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh
The 27th Conference of the Parties (COP27) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) was held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt from November 6-18, 2022. The annual Conference of the Parties (COP) gathered government officials and climate representatives from across the globe at its meeting, where crucial discussions took place regarding the challenges posed by climate change and ways to address them.
The large-scale COP27 was also attended by the head of the Lordlyfield project and Eco-Ambassador by Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi, Miss Olga Beliakova. On the conference outcomes, UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, launched a bold and ambitious $3.1 billion early warning plan to ensure the saving of lives and protect livelihoods from climate disasters for all.

International conference, as part of the Lordlyfield project, will be held in Dubai under the high patronage of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment UAE
We are pleased to announce the upcoming conference “We d̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ care” will be held under the high patronage and participation of HE Mariam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and Environment UAE.
Her Excellency participated in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York as part of the UAE delegation. During the global gathering, she highlighted the country's efforts in sustainable development and climate action, and explored new synergies in this space with other countries in the run-up to the 28th UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) that the UAE will host in 2023.
The UAE also joined the High Ambition Coalition to End Plastic Pollution, which aims to eliminate plastic pollution by 2040.

Through the work on the Lordlyfield project, its creator Miss Olga Beliakova was nominated for the 2022 BRICS Women Innovation Contest held by China Chapter BRICS Women's Business Alliance.
At the 2020 BRICS Summit, the Chinese State Leader Xi Jinping proposed an initiative of BRICS Women Innovation Contest under the BRICS cooperation framework, which received wide support from all BRICS Leaders."The purpose of the Contest is to celebrate the achievements of outstanding business women of the BRICS countries who have dedicated themselves to solving social and economic problems in various fields, as well as to promote the exchange of best practices and innovative solutions between business representatives".
